Default Which System has the Truth?

I was wondering other then the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses, are there any other false churches/christians out there? So are all those people doom to hell?? What if some those people grew up in those churches but in thier hearts they really wanted and loved Jesus?? Sometimes it's difficult because there are so many false and deceiving out there. One person can interpret the bible one way and another a different way. Get them both together and you have a "who's right" argument. The question is how do we know who is really right in interpreting the bible?

Post What's the Difference

This is one of the subjects I have not addressed through eternalpath.com, because it has been thoroughly beaten to death across the internet. Meaning, it has been written on so many times, that it is redundant for me to write upon it.

This website did a great job breaking it down into simple easy to comprehend facts: http://www.4witness.org/jehovahs_witness/jw_lds_cults.php

A common trait of false religions is to set themselves up as “mediator” between their followers and God. Whether we’re talking about Mormonism with its prophet Joseph Smith and subsequent prophets, Islam with its prophet Mohammed, The Roman Catholic Church and it's intercessions to Mary and adoration of the Saints, New Age Movement with its gurus and spirit-guides, or Jehovah’s Witnesses with the so-called “Faithful and Discreet Slave” organization, Satan’s tactic is always the same: Convince people that they cannot receive communication directly from God and require them to look to human leaders for spiritual guidance and support. I am not by any means discounting the value of leaders and teachers, I am merely pointing out that some perversions of God's counsel imply that only through the "organization or ritual" is the only way unto the Creator.

The Scriptures accurately teach, “As for you, the anointing that you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to be teaching you; but, as the anointing from him is teaching you about all things, and is true and is no lie, and just as it has taught you, remain in union with him.” (1 John 2:27, NWT). We do not need an organization to “teach” us spiritual truth after we have matured in the way, for we have Christ and the “anointing” of His Spirit to lead us. Just like first-century Christians, God’s Holy Spirit is the one who “guides” us into “all truth” (John 16:13).

While it is important to believe the teachings of the Bible in order to come into “the Truth,” the Bible does not point to a certain religion or religious organization as being “the Truth” as for example the Roman Catholic Church does. I say ‘Roman’, because not all Catholic churches follow in error of the old ways in submission to the Vatican under Papal Bull, for example the edict of 1871 that proclaimed the infallibility of the Pope. On the contrary, it points to a Person, rather than a religion as being “the Truth.” At John 14:6, Jesus proclaimed, “I am …the truth,” and in His prayer to the Father, He said, “Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth.” (John 17:17, New World Translation - NWT) Who is the living “Word” who is “Truth”? John 1:14 tells us, “…the Word became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs to an only-begotten son from a father.” (John 1:14, NWT) Not only do we see Jesus being identified in Scripture as “the Truth,” but He proclaims at John 5:39-40 that all of Scripture was written to “bear witness” about Him!

Indeed, we place our souls in great peril if we entrust our eternal destiny to the hands of human leaders for spiritual security. The Bible says, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength.” (Jeremiah 17:5). Galatians 1:6-9 says that even if an angel should bring a different message, let him be accursed! 1 Corinthians 12:3 says that no one who is speaking by the spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord" except by the Holy Spirit. The ultimate test is, does a given system of faith exalt Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior? Krishna is not Lord, Buddha is not Lord, Allah is not our redeemer, only Jesus is Lord and Savior. Joseph Smith is not the true prophet, and Jim Jones is not the true prophet, neither is JC Knight who manifests the demon Ramtha. Jesus is the true prophet, because all his words have or are coming true. The truth does not come from reading horoscopes or psychic readings, but from the Word of God which points to Jesus our Lord. Any other teaching is heretical against the revelation of the Truth found in the Son of God.

The following is a highly informative video outlining the truth about the deceptions of the Mormon church: CLICK HERE.

Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth and the life." He IS truth and there is no other way.

Default My opinion on the matter.

I love your desire to bring souls unto Christ. He will greatly be pleased with our efforts. For this is our purpose to bring souls unto Him. I love the Lord Jesus Christ, and I desire to return to Him. I know that He is the path, and that there is no other path, but I must confess I am a Mormon. I need to be honest with you. I have no desire to contentious. I want you to continue to do what you believe Christ wants you to do, for I am but a man.

I grew up as a Mormon. I was taught in the Mormon Church. I served as a Missionary. And this is what I do
"And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." -- 2 Nephi 25:26 The Book of Mormon.

I know that there is no other way but Christ. Joseph Smith is not our path.

" And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is fone God, without end. Amen." 2 Nephi 31:21 The Book of Mormon

I too know that we shouldn't trust in the arm of the flesh

"O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever. I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for I know that cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh. Yea, cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm." 2 Nephi 4:34 The Book of Mormon

I also read and trust the Bible, The Book of Mormon Commands us to.

Now about Joseph Smith. I have heard of the accounts about Joseph Smith you have made. But these account are made by Men, and cursed is He than puts His trust in men.

How have you come to know God? Where did you learn of Him? I Trust you value the Bible as much as I do. I would be lost in a dark hole without the Bible. I think we all would agree that we would all be lost without the Bible. But yet not one word in the Bible was not written by a Man. Yes God used Man to write His words, but all the words were written by men, and yet without the Bible we would not be saved. Because it was by the Power of Christ that is was made.

God works through Man to bring to pass His eternal work.

What is the purpose of the Bible, to point man to Christ
"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me" John 5:39

What is the purpose of Prophets
"To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins" Acts 10:43
To point people to Christ. Then were never meant to replace Christ

What happens to men if their are no prophets or teachers

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ" Eph 4: 11-15.

So without men to teach the true doctrine of Christ we will be tossed to and fro in false doctrine of men.

What are some false Doctrines of men

Homosexuality and that it is ok.
Marriage is bad.
We should allow gay marriage.
Evil is good and good is evil.
sex before marriage is good and normal.
and the list goes on and on and on.

So back to the accounts by a man about Joseph Smith. Then same could be said about

Moses someone could call him a murderer. Ex 2 : 14
"And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known."

David, author of psalms, could be called an adulterer. 2 Sam 12:19

Paul criticized the church of god and murdered many of it's members. Acts 9

Peter could be called a liar. Matt 26:34

the are all men but were used by God. The above accounts are true, but there are many false accounts of men.

Many called Jesus Christ a blasphemer. Matt 26:65 The Jews killed Him for this very reason. Even after that for hundreds of years members of the church were killed because people thought they were evil. These accounts were false

Just because a man says someone is evil, doesn't mean he is.

I do not put my trust in men but in Christ, Jesus.

I do not wish to argue about this. We should not fight. If you would like to discuss them thats ok. I believe we should unite forces against evil.

I believe we should unite against sin. Unite for Jesus Christ.
"Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ"
Eph 4:13
